Navhya Shah is a high-school student at The Cathedral and John Connon School, Mumbai. She has extensive training in Odissi and has a developing academic interest in cultural sociology, gender studies, and social entrepreneurship. Her engagement with Indian performing arts, both as practitioner and researcher, has inspired Forgotten Footsteps. Through this initiative, she explores how efforts towards gender equity, artistic participation, and recognition can be realised in symbiotic tandem with efforts towards cultural preservation. Navhya is also passionate about sports, and is a member of her school’s basketball, football, and throwball teams, alongside serving as the captain of the table tennis team.
